Orochi Network Monthly Updates - March 2023
Table of Contents
March was a busy and productive month for Orochi Network as we continued to expand our ecosystem and participate in various events and initiatives. Below is a summary of our March activities.
Technology Funding & Advancement
zkDatabase Proposal Granted By Mina Protocol
We are proud to announce that Orochi Network’s zkDatabase proposal was selected as one of the funded projects for the zkIgnite Cohort 1 program, hosted by Mina Protocol. This program is focused on supporting innovative projects that bring new ideas and technology to Mina Protocol's ecosystem. Orochi Network’s zkDatabase proposal aims to revolutionize the way databases are managed and operated, offering enhanced security, privacy, and scalability. With the funding and support from the zkIgnite program, Orochi Network will continue to develop and improve its zkDatabase proposal, bringing a revolutionary solution for decentralized database management to market.
EIP-6366 Proposal: A new standard to secure your smart contracts
Orochi Network proposed EIP-6366 to the Ethereum Network, aiming to simplify permission management across multiple contracts. Smart contracts often have special roles such as Owner, Operator, Manager, and Validator that are assigned to specific addresses for administering and managing the contract. However, managing these permissions across various contracts can be challenging and complex. EIP-6366 (permission tokens) can represent permissions and roles in a given ecosystem, allowing for greater flexibility and efficiency in managing smart contracts. Reflecting permission tokens in the balance of relevant accounts streamlines managing permissions in a given ecosystem. Moreover, permission tokens can also be divided into smaller parts and delegated to the individuals that are responsible for the role within the ecosystem, offering more flexibility in managing smart contracts. We believe that EIP-6366 will make it easier for developers to manage and administer complex smart contracts with special roles and permissions.
Introducing zkMemory Proposal: A reusable module for zkVM based on the Verkle tree
zkMemory is a module that can be reused by any zkVM project. It utilizes Verkle tree and KZG commitment to commit the memory state in an efficient way. The Verkle tree is a data structure used for efficient key-value storage and retrieval, and the KZG (Kate-Zaverucha-Goldberg) commitment scheme is a cryptographic primitive that allows for efficient and secure commitment of data. By using zkMemory, a zkVM project can take advantage of these technologies to efficiently commit the memory state and provide privacy-preserving computations using zero-knowledge proofs. This can be particularly useful in applications where data privacy is critical, such as in financial transactions or voting systems.
Partnership Establishment
Participate in ZK Spring Residency
Orochi Network participated in the ZK Spring Residency program, which is aimed at sharing and discussing ideas in the blockchain technology space. The program provided Orochi Network with mentorship, and access to a network of experts in the industry. The focus of the residency was on zero-knowledge proof technology, which will be a critical component in developing Orochi Network’s decentralized solutions. We were excited to participate in the program and to collaborate with other innovative projects and experts in the industry. This program enabled us to gain a deeper understanding of zero-knowledge proof technology and its potential applications in our solutions.
Integration with Fantom, OKT, Arbitrum and BNB chain
In March, Orochi Network integrated Orosign & Orand on Fantom, OKT, Arbitrum and BNB chain. This integration will provide more opportunities for users to participate in Orochi Network’s ecosystem on different blockchain platforms. Orosign is Orochi Network's digital asset management solution that provides a decentralized way to manage digital assets on-chain. Orand is a decentralized random number generation solution that is useful in applications that require random numbers with provable fairness. The integration with BNB and Fantom blockchain will help Orochi Network to offer more choices to its users and provide them with better access to its decentralized applications and smart contracts.
Establishing partnerships with GameFi Projects
We established partnerships with GameFi projects, including Mystic Treasure, Candy Club, Archloot, Ookeenga, Metaspacecy, and MetaDOS to provide Orosign and Orand, our digital assets management solution and verifiable random functions for a trustless source of randomness. These partnerships will help us to expand our user base and provide more comprehensive services to the GameFi industry. We believe that GameFi represents a significant opportunity for the blockchain industry, and we are committed to developing solutions that meet the unique needs of this emerging sector.
Conclusion
In conclusion, March was an exciting and productive month for the Orochi Network. We are grateful for the support of our community, partners, and supporters, and we look forward to updating you on our progress in the coming months. With these accomplishments, we are confident that Orochi Network is on the right path towards becoming a leading player in the decentralized technology industry.
Thank you for your continued support.
Best regards,
The Orochi Network Team
