Builds in Chiangmai: Food, Friends, and Fresh Experience!

The Orochi team just wrapped up an incredible two weeks in Chiang Mai - a heat up before Devcon! Beyond diving into some serious training, we connected with other communities, shared knowledge, and took in the vibrant Thai culture along the way. From exploring local sights to joining exciting industry events, this adventure was packed with great conversations and memorable moments.
Here’s a closer look at our journey!
Exploring Chiang Mai’s Culture and Cuisine
Our trip wouldn’t have been complete without experiencing the authentic Thai cuisine and famous sights of Chiang Mai. From night markets and street food to historic temples and vibrant bazaars, we got a true taste of the city.

Building Connections
Attending The Mu, Shanhaiwoo, and Invisible Garden

One of the highlights of our trip was meeting and connecting with fellow blockchain enthusiasts. We attended events like The Mu, Shanhaiwoo, and Invisible Garden, where we not only learned from others but also shared our own journey with Orochi.
Spotlight on Chiro’s Sessions

Chiro Hiro - our founder, had an incredible experience presenting at Invisible Garden on Recursive Proofs in Plonky, and later discussing our zkDatabase at The Mu. Seeing the curiosity and enthusiasm of the audience was a true reminder of why we’re in this space - to learn, share, and build together.
Hosting Pho’nomenal - From Grantee to Businesses

In the spirit of collaboration, we hosted Pho’nomenal: From Grantee to Businesses, open to all at Popup Village. Dr. Guo Yu kicked off with an engaging talk on binary fields and Binius, setting the stage for later discussions.
Fusion Feast with Thai Vibes
Afterward, we gathered for a Vietnamese-Thai food party, blending our culinary cultures and giving everyone a chance to chat, connect, and unwind.

Capturing Perspectives: Interview Series
Throughout the trip, we interviewed event organizers, speakers, and participants, capturing unique stories and perspectives on the blockchain community here.

We can’t wait to share these insights with you. Keep yourself updated by follow Orochi’s Twitter
A Grand Finale Gala Dinner
We wrapped up our trip with a gala dinner, bringing everyone together to celebrate the end of an inspiring two weeks. It was a good time to recap the trip, exchange some laughs, and talk about the road ahead.
This trip to Chiang Mai was about building connections, sharing what we’re passionate about, and getting some fresh ideas to bring back to the Orochi Network. We can’t wait to revisit Chiangmai in the near future!
