A VIFC-DN delegation joined by founder Mary Tran spent three days in Shenzhen and Hong Kong lining up the technology and tokenization partners Da Nang's financial centre needs.

TL;DR: From June 9–11, 2026, a delegation from the Viet Nam International Financial Centre in Da Nang (VIFC-DN), joined by founder Mary Tran, conducted a working visit to Shenzhen and Hong Kong. The visit focused on digital asset infrastructure, real-world asset (RWA) tokenization frameworks, and the partners needed to build an operating financial market in Da Nang.

    The Next Phase for VIFC-DN

Established in early 2026 under Decree No. 323/2025/ND-CP, the Viet Nam International Financial Centre in Da Nang (VIFC-DN) operates with a focus on digital finance, including a regulatory sandbox for digital asset products, digital payments, and trading platforms.
To operationalize the framework, Da Nang is collaborating with international financial institutions, technology providers, and investment firms. The delegation visited Shenzhen and Hong Kong to leverage their established ecosystems, aligning Shenzhen's fintech capabilities with Hong Kong's capital markets and regulatory strengths. meeting_upscaled_2x.jpg [Image: Mary Tran (standing, left) in a working session during the Hong Kong meetings.]

    Shenzhen Brings the Technology Conversation

On June 9, the delegation met representatives from the Peking University Shenzhen Research Institute Financial Innovation Center, the Shenzhen Artificial Intelligence Industry Association, and a string of AI and hardware names including Bairong / Dyna.AI, Pudu Robotics, and Dreame.
Conversations centered on the concrete steps for landing in Vietnam, specifically Da Nang: policy incentives, local partnership networks, and setup assistance. For Da Nang's IFC, AI, fintech, digital assets, and advanced manufacturing remain key pillars of its value proposition.

Hong Kong Brings the Tokenization Conversation

Hong Kong, on June 10 and 11, shifted the focus to regulated finance. The delegation met the FinTech Association of Hong Kong, Victory Securities (8540.HK), the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (HKEX), and PCI Technology Group.
Hong Kong offers the proven legal frameworks, market infrastructure, and tokenization expertise that Da Nang needs for its emerging financial hub. Beyond learning from Hong Kong's regulatory blueprint, discussions focused on joint efforts to tokenize real-world assets for Da Nang's digital-asset sandbox. vifc_meeting_landscape_16x9.jpg [Image: Victory Securities (8540.HK) welcomes Mr. Ho Ky Minh and the Viet Nam International Financial Centre, Da Nang delegation in Hong Kong.]

Connecting Da Nang With Global Partners

Our founder, Mary Tran, joined the delegation to connect Da Nang with key partners across Shenzhen and Hong Kong. Discussions focused on the practicalities of market entry, local partnerships, and financial hub infrastructure. The exchanges enabled Da Nang to benchmark best practices while opening direct channels to new capital flows. [Image: The Da Nang delegation with partners during the Hong Kong meetings.]
Da Nang's International Financial Center officially launched in January 2026, as reported by Vietnam Plus and VnEconomy.

    Work With Orochi Network

As RWA tokenization develops in Da Nang, institutions will need to verify ownership, collateral, and settlement data without exposing sensitive information. Orochi Network provides this infrastructure through zkDatabase, generating Zero-knowledge proofs for every operation so the conditions behind a tokenized asset can be checked without revealing the underlying data.
